FAQs post COVID-19

July 25, 2020

We can’t wait to welcome our swimmers back to the pool from September. Dolphin Academy has made some changes inline with guidance from our pools, governing bodies and the government.

Is swimming Safe?

The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) – “There’s no evidence that the coronavirus spreads through water in pools (or hot tubs, spas, or water play areas)”

Further information concerning pool safety can be found here on Swim England – here.

What Training have Dolphin Academy Teachers had?

Our teachers have attended specific in house Covid-19 training and assessments, to ensure they follow the new guidelines and their training is up to date in line with Swim England’s recommendations. Please support our teachers by complying with new protocols in place at each venue.

Do we need to bring our own equipment?

It is not essential for you to bring your own equipment. At the end of each swimming lesson, our teachers will be cleaning equipment in line with Swim England’s recommendations so it is ready and safe for the next swimmer.

Will there be extra hygiene measures?

Our pool operators have included enhanced cleaning schedules and hand sanitiser stations will be located throughout the building.

Will my child have the same swimming teacher?

Yes! Your place has been reserved – in the same class and with the same swimming teacher. However, if your schedule has changed and you need an alternative time for swimming, please get in touch.

We are owed lessons due to the closure?

For those who had paid for March and didn’t receive their full month, your first payment will be changed to reflect this.
