Dolphin Academy Statement: COVID-19

We have taken the difficult decision to temporarily suspend all swimming lessons in light of the governments advice to avoid all non-essential contact and travel. As you can imagine, this is truly heart breaking and we have not made this decision lightly. As a family run swim school, we built our lives and livelihoods around our love of the sport but we recognise our wider responsibility to our swimmers, parents, carers, teachers, leisure staff and our role in safeguarding the nation as a whole.

As a team we will take this time away from the pool to continue to develop our lessons, complete online CPD’s, plan for the future and update your Dolphin’s home portal so you can view their progress ready to pick up where we left of, when it is safe to do so.

We will of course remain contactable should you need any advice but please try to stay calm, happy and safe during this period of uncertainty; nothing should come before your health and happiness.

We will also be offering online services should you want to keep some sense of normality to your swimmer’s week by joining Becky for online Yoga, Core and Land training sessions. If this is something you are interested in, please get in touch.

To help clear up any questions regarding payments, subscriptions and this month’s lessons we have created specific FAQs. Please can we ask all customers to read these and to get in touch if they have any questions.

I want to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of you for being a loyal customer and making our swim school what it is today. The support and kindness I have received already has been overwhelming, thank you to those who have sent lovely messages, ordered certificates and shared our social media updates.

We can’t wait for the day we are able to welcome you back to the pool.

Take care Dolphins,
Becky x

FAQ’s relating to the suspension of swimming lessons due to Government advice concerning COVID-19

Not for the time being. We are adhering to the Government guidance concerning non-essential social contact and travel. We will therefore be suspending lessons until we are safe to start again.

As lessons are temporarily suspended, we will be freezing accounts and reducing subscriptions to just £5 per month. This will allow us to guarantee your place upon return, hold your remaining lessons on account and also safeguard our family business. Everything will be held in place waiting your return including the 2 lesson credits for March. We will of course give you notice when we are reopening and able to deliver our lessons again.

If there’s anything we can do, or you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Becky via mobile: 07581062278; email: [email protected] or our social media accounts on Facebook or Instagram.
